Sam accepts, but request vast amount of resources, he also creates a Fourth Echelon to help out. The government recruits Sam to fix the problem. A file has been created by a group of rogue nations that lists high profile targets essential to United States operations abroad. Splinter Cell Blacklist takes place six months after Conviction. Sam also discovers that his daughter is alive.
Through a series of events, Third Echelon is closed down. During the course of the game, Sam is recruited by an underground Freedom Fighter Cell through which he can acquire more advanced gadgets. His road to vengeance pits him against the United States government, his former employer. In Conviction, Sam plans to revenge his daughters death after finding out her death was intentional. After Double Agent, Sam is wanted as a terrorist. Sam must work as a Double Agent and decide to follow orders from the JBA or NSA, or possibly both. This enables Fisher to go undercover as a member of John Brown's Army (JBA).
In order go get Sam back into active duty the NSA stages a set of crimes. Overcome with grief he pulls out of active duty. Sam has a daughter, but events that followed Chaos Theory, he receives news that his daughter was killed by a drunk driver. He also has a very high sense of moral responsibility. However, he is loyal and believes that his work is for the "greater good".
When he disagrees with some missions he may go to as far as to not fully comply. Whilst on missions he keeps in radio contact with Colonel Irving Lambert Director of Operations, William Redding NSA Adviser/Field Runner, and Anna "Grimm" Grimsdottir.įisher dislikes (to put it lightly) bureaucracy and political correctness. He has a basic understanding of Russian, Korean, Arabic, Chinese, Persian and Spanish. He works mostly at night as well as alone during covert operations. He is an expert in steal was well as armed and unarmed combat, especially Krav Maga and SEAL CQB (Close Quarters Battle). Before being recruited to Third Echelon, Fisher was a Navy SEAL and was a member of SEAL Team 6. Third Echelon was a sub-division within the NSA. Sam Fisher was a field agent for Third Echelon. And the funny thing is, he almost didn't become a soldier at all. Having sacrificed everything for his country – his marriage, his daughter, his reputation, and his best friend – he finished his last assignment and walked away, a human weapon gone rogue.
Now, however, he stands alone, having rejected what his service had become and the mandates of those giving him orders. His tactical experience has become part of his instinct. Combat, espionage, and constant training have defined his adult life. A former Navy SEAL, Sam belonged to an elite brotherhood of warriors ready to sacrifice their lives in defense of America’s freedoms. From Panama and the Persian Gulf to Bolivia, Columbia, Yugoslavia, and Kosovo, Fisher carried out missions which most American citizens would be horrified to learn about, should the US Government ever admit they occurred. Long before Third Echelon tapped him to be the first Splinter Cell agent, Sam was operating behind enemy lines, in situations where traditional rules of engagement didn't apply. Sam Fisher knows exactly what he was made to be: a multimillion-dollar weapon developed by the US government to do what few others can do.
